The new Internet Explorer first run screen

The first implementation of IE7 has been re-screen you'll see the following picture.

Please note, IE7 Phishing Filter is a * closed * By default, this is to participate in Customer Experience Improvement Program. Clear type is enabled.

I strongly recommend that you enable the Phishing Filter. If you do not have a liquid crystal display, you may want to disable ClearType. This option can also be management tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Multimedia tab.

When you selected the option, be sure to click on "Save Settings" button or link. I found that this is a bit confusing, because it seems that did not happen, I click on any link or button, but when I restart IE browser running on the first page does not appear.

Note: If the "Save Settings" button or link does not work, please open the registry and navigate to the following items:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \'s Internet Explorer \ Main

Search the DWORD "SearchMigrated", and ensure that it is set to 1 (this is number one).

The implementation of the first page

Sometimes, running the first page will re-appear. Possible reasons for this problem is:

1) the welcome page does not load completely for whatever reason.

2) The script has been disabled (Note: The blockade will not cause this problem ActiveX)

Under such circumstances, the DWORD "RunOnceHasShown" may not be able to create the following registry entries, but also may not be set to a value of 1.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \'s Internet Explorer \ Main \ RunOnceHasShown

If you stay in the system of IE7 the first page of welcome to close the IE browser, to check whether there RunOnceHasShown DWORD value and set to a value of 1.

At the same time, ensure that the following key is set to 1:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \'s Internet Explorer \ Main \ RunOnceComplete

In addition, make sure you disable any that may prevent from writing to the register, such as anti-malware applications:

Problem ClearType

There is an error in the ClearType photoelectric continue to affect, even if disabled. The key to the patch:

HKCU \ logo \ (56561DBF - E736 - 4516 - B63E - 80BB99D3E6AD) \ Software \ Microsoft \'s Outlook Express \ 5.0 \ Trident \ Main \

If UseClearType create string does not exist. Its value is not set.

Finding a robust patch management solution is becoming more and more difficult as machines are less and less accessible to the management console. I have found success using patch management software from Kaseya. Because of the agent based framework, I have connectivity to every machine that is connected to the Internet, independent of location. - URL: http://www.kaseya.com/products/patch-management/features.aspx
